Course Objectives

  • Have expanded their knowledge about hazards identification and demonstration in the working areas,
  • Have increased their knowledge about chemicals classifications, handling including containment and labeling, storage, transportation and/or lifting strategies,
  • Have an excellent knowledge about the proper working instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in case of hazard chemicals handling,
  • Have better knowledge of selecting and organizing information, in order to deal with hazard chemicals,
  • Have increased confidence that they can avoid any unexpected hazards affected by improper handling of chemicals,
  • Be familiar with the advanced risk management principles and techniques including risk analysis, scenarios and consequences (Risk Assessment) and the ways of mitigation,
  • Be familiar with emergency prevention planning and its preparedness in the are of hazard chemicals handling
  • Have a better knowledge of the international and/ or national regulations and standards regarding workers and environment protection in the area of chemicals and hazards material handling
  • Be familiar with some postulated and reported international accidents and/or incidents involving hazard chemicals as case studies and lessons learned from them.
